The Taj Mahal’s Prototype

Look closely and you'll see the Taj Mahal's outline. What Shahjahan did to the tomb of Humayun, his great grandfather and the second Mughal Emperor, was to add 4 minarets, replace the robust red sandstone with more sensual buff marble and made it look more slender. The Taj Mahal and Humayun Tomb even share a sentimental similaririty. We will discuss this later.
